Lumières
A new body of work and Studio news
Today I share some very special new works, exclusively with you before they go anywhere else. In the second part, I invite you into my latest sensory drawing course launching this Sunday, 28 June, at Studio BB.
There is a moment in the forest when light arrives sideways, through the trees and all the way to the forest floor, a particular stillness of late afternoon in the Alps. It doesn’t last long.
In moments like these, I connect almost viscerally with the forest.
Lumières was born from following the light inside the microcosm of living beings of the forest. The works are large; the beings are small but the space within is vast. Golden accents remind of divinity representation in Eastern imagery. My way of paying respect to this realm.
Upclose on the wall, these works pull you in. And suddenly, you are no longer outside the forest, observing. You are inside it.
Date: 2026
Size: 80x80x1.5cm (framed)
Medium: acrylic ink and charcoal on photographs, on paper.
I am sharing a private view here first with you, before they go anywhere else.

At Studio BB this week.
The Sensory Drawing online course opens this Sunday 28 June.
Six sessions, activating your five senses + the most elusive of all: intuition.
It’s not about learning to draw. It’s about making marks that ultimately mirror they way you live your life. The exercises are fun and the community thoughtful.
