We have been building towards this week’s practice for the past month. Zentangles are an amazing fountain of inspiration and dare-I-say infinite, there are so many possibilities!
For our 5-min practice (which will probably take you closer to 10 minutes this week), it is enough to establish some simple rules. Once you know them, the sky is your limit. Apparently, the largest Zentangle in the world measures 9.75m long by 2.4m height. I’d say! Will you challenge that?!
If I had to summarize the rules that will help you draw just about any Zentangle, they would be: a. Use an intuitive (don’t think!) line to divide your space, just let it lead you; b. Always start patterns in a corner; c. When you get left with small in-between spaces, imagine your patterns overflow to infinity - what would be their next line in that little space?
Have fun and let me know what you thought of this month’s practice!
I hope you enjoyed this week’s practice. Please share it with someone you know.
Thank you. See you next week!
